That’s All for Day 3

The third day of play saw 16 players begin and eight move on in the WPT Heads Up Championship presented by Poker King.

Quarterfinal and semifinal action tomorrow begins with the livestream at 1 p.m. PST on Twitch.TV/WorldPokerTour and no-spoilers updates right here. Tomorrow’s play continues until the best-of-five championship match is set for Tuesday. Play tomorrow also moves up a bit, with nine hands per level.

Phil Ivey defeated Anthony Zinno 2-0 today, and Stephen Chidwick defeated Darren Elias 2-0, setting up a monster of a match tomorrow between Ivey and Chidwick in a mythical best-of-the-best competition.

Dan Smith’s 2-0 victory today over JRB moves him on tomorrow to meet Sam Greenwood, who held off chess champion Alexandra Botez 2-0.

Chris Kruk held off  Olivier Busquet 2-1, all three matches going very deep. Kruk meets up with Limitless, who took less than 10 minutes total to defeat ButtonClickr 2-0 in a match of online hu wizards.

Patrik Antonius took down Doug Polk 2-0, advancing to meet Stefan 11222 Burakov, who took all three games to advance past Dan Dvoress.
